The study aimed to identify the role of the educational media specialist in educating middle school students about the ethical controls for the use of social networking sites. Educational media specialist consisting of (120), and the study was applied to a sample of preparatory stage students consisting of (378) individuals. Statistically significant between the mean scores of school media specialists on the dimensions of the preparatory stage students' awareness of the ethical controls for using social networking sites due to the variable of gender and the variable of years of experience, while the study proved the existence of statistically significant differences between the mean scores of preparatory stage students on the dimensions of the measure of awareness of ethical controls The use of social networking sites is attributed to the gender variable in favor of males.
