Internet has been used intensively in the health awareness field, and Egyptian women are depending on new media to get information and search for answers to their questions regarding health topics, and issues. Such behavior may lead to negative consequences when these digital sources are accurate or credible enough. This study seeks to identify Egyptian women attitudes toward using digital media in health care field. This study depends on Media Dependency theory, using on-line survey to collect data from a purposive sample of women and young girls who are exposed to health content on digital media. The results show that Egyptian women uses Facebook, Twitter, Instagram followed by mobile apps, then webpages and official websites. Egyptian women depend on social media to follow health topics, and on top of the health topics they follow are topics related to fitness, then healthy lifestyle and diet issues. Finally, women indicated that exposing to such content help them in improving their information.
