This paper aims to identify the media misinformation by analyzing the negative effects of social networks and their actual participation in spreading misleading ideas to the Egyptian public. The study employs descriptive method to diagnose relationships between variables in which it depended on survey by conducting content analysis for a number of satellite TV shows that disseminated misleading ideas. The main results concluded by this study are: females were found to participate more than males in most of the programs analyzed, the reason for participation was mainly for audience who suffer from psychological illness. And the study also concluded that there were a number of methods of misinformation used in the programs which were: misinformation by lying, word or by photo or altering photos. And of the main results is that a lot of mass media outlets recently especially after 2011 revolution started to discuss more the superstitious issues.
