The relationship between exposure to political content in newspapers and satellite channels available through social networking sites and the general mood towards issues of the Arab world

Abstract

The study is aims at answering main question which is Does the degree of exposure of the Egyptian and Saudi audience to news with  political content related to Arab world issues represented in (Egypt – Syria – Yemen – Palestine – Tunisia – Libya and ISIS’s with its (negative - positive - regular) attitudes which exists in the accounts of newspapers and TV channels available through social networks to change the status of heir prevailing moods to conform either with the prevailing societal mood or to support their personal attitudes and perceptions, and to form their attitudes towards the issues and contents presented. The paper harnesses the theoretical background of the mood management theory. The study employs descriptive method in which it used survey for collecting data. the main results concluded by this study are that there is increase in the browsing rate by the Egyptian and Saudi audience for the news content for newspaper and news TV channels accounts on social media networks on top of it Facebook.
