The study aims to discover the relationship between exposure to satirical television programs and Egyptian’s attitudes towards governmental institutions. Moreover, The paper harnesses the theoretical background of cognitive priming theory and employs the descriptive methods to diagnose relationships between variables in which it used the survey methods for collecting information from 600 individual. The study concluded that that Egyptians has high level of exposure to the sarcastic programs and that they have remarkable concern to monitor the performance of the different governmental institutions. Beside that results showed that there is increase in the Egyptian audience level of satisfaction for how these programs discuss the governmental institution’s performance, in which “Bassem Youssef” program was on the top favorite sarcastic programs by majority of the sample because it focused mostly on criticizing the political, security and political issues and how government perform to solve problems in each of these fields.
