The study aims to discover the nature of the relationship between Saudi youth and Twitter and to describe the relationship between members of this age group with the traditional media outlets. The researcher employed the uses and gratification model to analyze the relationship between the study variables. The results confirmed that usage of twitter have wide spread between the youth in the sample in which most of them deal with it daily. Their reasons for usage were three main reasons which are: following up, resending or tweeting. And concerning the most important factors that attract youth for the site are: easy of usage, news factor and freedom of expression. While the most prominent topics that youth follow up on twitter are: local affairs then in second ranking well followed topics like the technology and religious topics and the third ranking was for medium followed up topics like the political and cultural topics.
