Media discourse of extremist religious movements on news sites

Abstract

The main problem of this research centers on the absence of a clear scientific vision to highlight the components and features of the media discourse published on the news sites of the Islamic State (ISIS) and Al-Qaeda (Taliban). Therefore, the research tries to monitor the general features of this discourse with all its characteristics, and try to explain this discourse in light of the political and religious context in which this discourse was produced, and finally, the interpretation of the role played by the features of the communicative medium in shaping the features of this discourse as well. The objectives of the study are determined in a main goal from which some of the sub-goals emerge as follows: Learn about the media discourse of extremist movements on news sites in light of the events and turmoil that Egypt and the Arab and Islamic world are experiencing in light of the emergence of extremist ideas. As for the sub-goals, they were: - Analyzing the ideas contained in the media discourse of these extremist movements. - Finding the methods of persuasion used in the speech. - Knowing the frame of reference for the discourse of these extremist movements on the study sites. - Monitoring the type of frameworks used in the speech for these sites. - Identifying the active forces affecting the speech of sites.
