Methods for achieving interactivity in designing official tourism websites

Abstract

It has become necessary to make use of various interactive advantages offered by the Internet, especially since Egypt has much touristic, natural, archaeological, therapeutic, environmental and cultural potential ... etc, which qualify it to be one of the most important and largest tourist destination in the world. But the reality of tourism in Egypt is still below the required level, as Egypt receives a small percentage, estimated at approximately 1% of the total international tourism movement, according to the estimates of the World Tourism Organization, in addition to the fact that Egypt was ranked (83) out of 141 countries in terms of tourism and travel competitiveness in 2015. In this context, this study seeks to monitor and analyze the reality of using interactive methods in designing websites for official tourism institutions in Egypt and Dubai and the extent to which these sites benefit from modern options, and the new means provided by the Internet in order to increase interactivity, in the context of comparison as an attempt to contribute to the development of official tourism sites in Egypt to consolidate its international competitive position.
