Abstract

Social networks contribute to the transmission of what is called social contagion - which is the transmission of a sense of risk - by spreading ideas and practices through the interaction relationship between users, whether individuals, groups or institutions, as well as being a source of information about the issues at stake, as interaction through social media helps the flow of Information and collective decision-making (Beret & Meredith - 2013).
Based on the above, the problem of the study can be identified in examining the role of social media sites -through the ease and timeliness of communication that they provide- being one of the most important tools for polarization in young people's perception of the dangers of fourth-generation wars, and what these risks entail from the division of states, the dismantling of societies, and the spread of malicious rumors; and sowing division between power and the people, and creating a state of chaos in addition to exploring youth evaluation of this role by presenting the potential effects of those risks, and the proposed solutions to reduce their risks, and ways to confront them.
