Political efficacy is pivotal factor to encourage political engagement of citizens in any society. It could be an indicator that measures the political participation level as it is essentially correlated to active citizenship concept. Political efficacy reflects individual convection of being considerable and that political involvement would make difference in the overall outcome of the political process. From this perspective, the paper concentrates on investigating relationships between exposure to news reporting content on social media platforms and collective political efficacy of Egyptian young people. Also, to detect the key variables that influence this relationship. Central factor detected are internal and external political efficacy, political interest, political trust, political deliberation of ideas across social media platforms, discussions with official figures and politicians as well as the demographic variables.
