It is claimed that elite class in any society plays a notable role in anticipating the future development of pivotal issues in policy, culture, and public life. The question that this paper looks for answering it is to know the role of national and international news satellite channels in formulating elite attitudes towards the illegal immigration issues. News frames are constructed according to multiple editorial and environmental determinants. The current perceptions of the political, cultural, and religious elite about illegal immigration constitutes a fundamental preface of what the public may perceive about this issue. The study also considers relationship between following illegal immigration news reports and attitudes towards it.
