Socialization of the adolescents has pivotal role in formulating the parental society. Family authority plays the major part in this mission. Feminine authority, on the other hand, may constitute a determine factor when families empower female personality to control future decisions. Families can contribute positively to ensuring woman independency and formulate feminine conscious mindset aware of its social roles. This paper focuses on the challenges that face the Egyptian family as it is argued that global changes threatening the basic infrastructure values of the Egyptian society and may lead to deconstructing or devastating of its main principles. The paper aims to analyse the adolescents’ perceptions of symbolic parental authority presented by TV drama production and the constructed attitudes as consequences of these perceptions.
