The last five years have been witnessed unprecedented developments in the Arab region. Bloody conflicts and devastating wars exploded and produced huge numbers of displaced populations and refugee immigrants to neighbouring countries. Civil war and conflicts in Syria generated worst mass exodus after WW2 along with conflicts in Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen. Female refugees paid the most expensive costs of these conflicts in terms of her family security, satisfying basic needs for food and medicine as well as her capacities as a productive member in the society. This paper focuses on the female refugees and how news reporting framing her cause in the Arab and international journalism. It is argued that these frames influence the audience perceptions about refugees’ issues in general and female refugees in particular.
