Effectiveness of training course that increase awareness of content production skills of college students

Abstract

The aim of this study is to construct training course its target is to prepare individuals to understand the surrounding media culture and to know how to interact with it. This study focuses on developing university students’ awareness of content production skills on social media as part of literate media behaviour. The study belongs to pedagogical contributions that is not only “defence project” for protection purposes, but also “empowerment project” that prepare audience to participate effectively in media culture. Harnessing media channels to advocate national achievements is not enough to confront the deconstruction voices. Building critical minds with high intellectual abilities is the key factor that protects the national cohesion and supports society capacities.
