Health and medical content in Egyptian news sites :

Abstract

This paper aims to identify and analyze the health and medical content in Egyptian news sites by applying to the health department in El Yom El Sabaa and Akhbar El Yom, in order to get acquainted with how they are presenting the health and medical topics in these sites either in relevance to format or content, as well as the status of the health departments in these news sites.
 The study employs descriptive and analytical methods to diagnose relationships between variables.
The paper harnesses the theoretical background of agenda setting and the framing theory.
the main results concluded by this study included that EL Yom El Sabaa  published a picture in a vertical form where an image is displayed and next to it is the title of the topic and a small part of the introduction of the topic, while Akhbar El Yom used the horizontal method where it presented  the image and below it is the title placed without any part of the topic itself that led to a larger space of images in Akhbar El Yom compared to El Yom El Sabaa.
