This paper aims to identify the relationship of elderly people with social media websites by implementing the uses and gratifications theory. The study employs descriptive, quantitative methods to diagnose relationships between variables. The paper harnesses the theoretical background of uses and gratifications. the main results concluded by this study included that 47.1% of the elderly people in the paper’s sample use the social media websites through their mobile phones as its easier for them to access it.
