The role of social media websites in shaping the image of civil society organizations interested in Jordanian women affairs among the academic elite

Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the relationship between social media sites in shaping the mental image of Jordanian civil society organizations interested in women's affairs, as well as the women working in them among Jordanian university professors, in addition to knowing the degree of their dependence on social media sites as sources for information related to the activities of civil society organizations interested in women's affairs.
The study employs quantitative and descriptive methods to diagnose relationships between variables.
The paper harnesses the theoretical background of media dependency.
the main results concluded by this study included that Facebook was the most used and depended upon among the academic elite when it comes to getting information about the civil society organizations that are interested in women’s affairs.
