This paper aims to analyze the awareness and knowledge of mass communication students to the professional standards in media performance, and their orientation towards them such as concepts of objectivity and respect of privacy and accuracy before proceeding. Also their understanding of the concept of social responsibility of the media such as its developmental role and its role in uncovering corruption and deviation. The study employs qualitative method using survey to diagnose the degree of knowledge and awareness. The main results concluded by this study included that 78.5% of the mass communication students follow the news from talk shows and news shows which makes them up to date with the ongoing events and the evaluation of the medial performance.
