Abstract

The study provides a detailed explanation of the Vicarious Dissonance Model, as it is one of the most important modern trends in the theory of cognitive dissonance theory, which represents a shift and development in the theory's assumptions from focusing on personal dissonance that occurs within the individuals as a result of the contradiction and contradiction between their perceptions, trends, or their behavior. The individuals may experience the contradiction and dissonance between the behavior of a member of his group and the trends of that group and the effect of that on the individuals’ change of his attitudes. The importance of the study comes from the scarcity of Arab studies despite the multiplicity and diversity of the theoretical assumptions that provide the researcher with an integrated and applicable theoretical framework.
