Egyptian political changes and their repercussions on the professional performance of media persons in the regional newspapers

Abstract

The global interest in studying the professional and ethical orientations of media persons in general has increased, and this has been relatively reflected in Egypt as a result of the emergence of new media outlets including (the electronic journalist, the comprehensive editor, the citizen journalist and bloggers), and the accompanying proliferation of newspapers, private satellite channels and media sites.
The current study examines the relationship of political change cases that Egypt is witnessing in the recent period, and its reflection on the professional performance of media persons in the regional media, and examines the vision of the media persons in the future regional media of their role as major actors in the media environment, and the study extends to include the analysis and description of the professional reality, discussing the pressures media persons face, in a way that is reflected in his professional roles and orientations.
