YouTube channels address economic issues and crises in Egypt

Abstract

The mass media has allocated large areas of time in the recent period to keep up with the economic events that have unfolded in abundance in Egypt as a result of the political crises, which have been largely reflected in the Egyptian economy. On its list are social media sites and YouTube channels -hence this study seeks to assess the level of YouTube channels ’treatment of economic issues and crises in Egypt. These channels discuss social, political, religious and economic issues and topics within innovative and attractive formats in their presentation of economic reality features, which are called "public interaction sites".
As a result of the great role that these channels play in influencing the opinions of public opinion and its trends towards the issues they present. In addition to the characteristics of YouTube in publishing TV program episodes first-hand, which adds to the ease of exposure to them by the public at any time, and that role contributes greatly In helping the audience to get to know everything that is published in traditional and modern media through what is called digital content.
The main reason for choosing the research topic is the close connection between the economic conditions resulting from the decisions issued by the state on an ongoing basis and the acceleration of the digital media in providing a media treatment for those decisions and covering their effects on the Egyptian citizen, which gives great importance to the research topic.
