Abstract

Social media has invaded all areas of daily life as a means of communication, interactive exchange, and the transfer of ideas and information, as well as cultural, political, economic, artistic and religious fields of interest or not. Many studies have indicated that individuals spend most of their time on the Internet, which has affected the change in the form of relationships Humanity that binds individuals together. So the individual lives in an era where conflicting values are difficult, in which it is difficult to agree on unified standards of behavior. Psychologists emphasized that social media has influences in Arab societies that are not described as positive as all, and can be classified as negative influences. Too much use leads to a type of addiction that leads to isolation. The constant presence of young people on social media has led to the inevitability of changing the language used among them, and the emergence of a group of vocabulary and abbreviated symbols used in chat rooms and elsewhere, which led to a weak linguistic level in their conversations about the sober Arabic language.
In view of the diversity of modern interactive communication methods witnessed by the audience of social networking sites, which resulted in the diversity of uses and partnerships with which the user interacts between economic, political, social or religious to meet his information, knowledge and entertainment needs at the same time, the research problem is determined in the following main question:
What is the intensity of Egyptian youth use of social media, the gratifications achieved from that use, and its effect on their perception of the concept of time management and organization?
