The impact of cybercrime on youth awareness of social security on social media

Abstract

The study sought to monitor the impact of cybercrime on youth awareness of social security on social media and to know their proposals for developing sites to confront social crimes by conducting a field study on a sample of 400 individuals who use of social media, and the study found that the majority of respondents are familiar with and relatively aware of cybercrime, but they do not follow them continuously or intensively, and this result may reflect the level of awareness of young people about cybercrime in the absence of a strong motivation to research more deeply. Or a duplicate image towards this type of issue, and emphasizing the existence of a statistically significant correlation between the Egyptian youth's awareness of mechanisms to combat cybercrime and the level of their awareness of social security and the respondents' interest in following up on cybercrime cases through social media, crimes (fraud, fraud and data theft) came to the forefront of cybercrime, and the most prominent effects on social security were the non-compliance of cybercrimes with spatial boundaries that make them more harmful to social security and the desire for quick gain without effort. Emphasizing that cybercrimes pose a significant risk to social security (88.3%). The study recommended the need to raise children on virtuous moral principles and values to maintain the security and stability of society and keep it free from crimes and violence, as well as the use of artificial intelligence services, which play an important role in enhancing social security through (early detection of cybercrimes and improving cybersecurity).
