The Role of News Websites in Shaping Technological Awareness among Egyptian Youth: A Field Study

The current study aimed to reveal the role of news websites in enhancing technological knowledge among young people as one of the important digital media, in addition to the importance of the youth group as the most exposed to digital media, and they are the age group most interested in using and benefiting from modern technology, and the current study relied on the questionnaire tool and the questionnaire was applied electronically to a sample of youth consisting of 600 individuals, and the current study led to several results, the most important of which are:
1-The study revealed that the vast majority of survey participants show an interest in following technology news published on news websites, Specifically, 50.2% expressed a direct interest in keeping up with such content, while 47.0% indicated a limited or irregular interest.
2-Regarding the most followed news platforms, the findings highlighted a significant lead for "Youm7" over other news websites.
3-In terms of audience trust in the technological information presented on these platforms, the majority (77.7%) reported a moderate level of trust. Meanwhile, 20.5% of respondents expressed a high level of confidence in the technology-related content provided by these sites.
