Abstract

This study aimed to examine the role of drama in shaping public attitudes toward Egyptian women's issues and their non-stereotypical representations in society. It sought to highlight the key features of the dramatic treatment of these issues within the analyzed works. Additionally, the researcher conducted a field survey of audiences exposed to this content to assess their opinions, evaluations, and attitudes toward these portrayals. The study falls within the category of descriptive research, employing a survey methodology to observe and analyze the impact of drama on audience perceptions of the representations of women in the selected dramatic works.
The findings indicated a predominantly positive audience response to the dramatic treatment of the works under study, with 74.7% expressing acceptance of the artistic and external presentation of the issues addressed. Furthermore, respondents' attitudes toward the themes explored in the three parts of the analyzed dramatic work ranged from neutral to positive. The majority of participants exhibited a neutral stance regarding the depiction of women in these dramas. Similarly, audience behavioral responses to the non-stereotypical portrayals of women varied from neutral to positive.
