Abstract

The study aimed to test the effect of aesthetics design of news websites on the users’s evaluation of the usability of those sites, by conducting a field study on a deliberate sample of 400 individuals from news site users in Egypt, The study found that there were significant differences with statistical significance between the study sites with regard to evaluation of All four design indicators in these newspapers (aesthetics and appearance of the site, design elements, navigation within the site, and overall satisfaction with the design), and there are some regression correlations for the regression of the respondents’ evaluation of the site’s usability indicators on only one of the design indicators, which is “navigation within the site,” for the three sites, While it was not clear that there were any relationships on other indicators, including aesthetics, site appearance, design elements, and general satisfaction with the site.
