The role of media campaigns in shaping the health awareness of Egyptian women

Abstract

The study aims to identify the role played by media campaigns in shaping the health awareness of Egyptian women, and their role in providing Egyptian women with health information about various diseases, and knowing the motives and reasons for their exposure and evaluation of these campaigns. The study belongs to descriptive studies using the survey method. The questionnaire was applied to a sample of (400) Egyptian women aged 19 and over. The study period lasted two months, February and March 2022 AD. One of the most important results of the study is the keenness of the study sample members to follow health campaigns, and that the most important health campaigns they followed came at the forefront of the (Healthy Food) campaign at a rate of 38.03%. Regarding the reasons for their following health campaigns, the results showed that 43.46% of them follow them for awareness, and in terms of their feelings while watching health campaigns, 74.32% of them answered that it pushes them to participate in society. The results showed that 31.11% of the sample members The campaigns gave them new healthy habits.
