The Structure of Digital Storytelling in News Websites: A comparative Study between Aljazeera and BBC websites

Abstract

      This study aims to analyze the structure of digital storytelling in two news websites "Aljazeera and BBC". It analyzes a sample of video stories related to the Israeli war on Gaza from October 7, 2023, until the end of January 2024.
      It depends on the narrative paradigm in its theoretical framework, and it discusses the concept of digital storytelling, its applications in the media field, its methods, templates, elements, and techniques.
      The results refer to differences in narration structure and methods according to the editorial policy of the two websites, the topic of the stories, elements of narration, and techniques like video wall and immersive.
