Abstract

The study aimed to basically reveal the narrative analysis of the story structure in the Egyptian Patriotic drama in the television series represented by the Battalion 101 series, and to extract a number of structures upon which the narrative structure in the Patriotic drama is based. This includes revealing the narrative characteristics related to the details of the material and the dramatic content. This also includes identifying the importance of dramatic narration as a basic factor, getting to the point of presenting the idea within the drama series, identifying the mechanisms and elements that the Egyptian Patriotic drama used in building its story and narrating its events, and focusing on the basic variables that form the narrative structures in establishing the form of the dramatic text in television series.
The study revealed the coherence of the narrative during the presentation of the events dealt with in the visual texts within it, through the sequence of events during their presentation. The narration was dominated by the thematic arrangement in the visual texts and their connection to one other, and the stability of the topic structure in presenting the events and conflicts that took place within the series.The analysis also revealed the stability of the spatial structure within the visual texts with the multiple locations of a single event within the drama.
The narration dominated the visual texts, the multi-voice narration in the events of the dramatic series.
