Abstract

The study aims to identify the nature of the media training that the communicator receives within the General Authority for Audiovisual Media in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its relationship to the profession. This study belo ngs to descriptive research, by using the survey method, which is an organized scientific effort aimed at collecting information and special data about the phenomenon studied and samples. the study, This study was based on the "Approach to Professional Practice"
 , Data were collected using an electronic questionnaire tool, on a random sample of 43 respondents from communicators within the General Authority for Audiovisual Media in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Among the most important results reached by the study: The percentage of Saudis is high within the General Authority for Audiovisual Media in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (93%), and the study revealed the scarcity of some specializations that are supposed to exist in a sector concerned with audiovisual media, such as the specializations of broadcaster and technicians.
The study also showed that a large percentage, almost half, of workers within the General Authority for Audiovisual Media did not receive media training courses, yet they continue to work in the same manner. The study shows that the largest percentage did not enroll in media courses due to the high price of the courses.
