Abstract

In light of ideas of evolution and cultural change, cultural ecology is concerned with adaptation as the basis for cultural change. Anthropology, which focuses on the study of human existence and biology, language, religion, the social environment, and other topics, includes cultural ecology as one of its subfields. Drama can accomplish the process of diffusion and cultural ecological change by rationalizing negative values and behaviors throughout its dramatic presentation, as demonstrated by studies in psychology, sociology, and drama. Thus, the study's objective was to pinpoint instances of cultural dissemination as well as the characteristics of the cultural ecology of the value system found in Egyptian theater between 1990 and Ramadan 2023. It confirms that:
- The drama of the decade 1990–1999 AD had the highest percentages of positive values highlighted; the drama of the decade 2000–2009 AD had the lowest percentages; and the drama of the period 2010–2023 AD had the largest contraction. - There was a noticeable decline in the positive values contained in Egyptian drama, as the rate of appearance of positive values in Egyptian drama decreased. In the drama of the decade 2010–2023 AD, negative values were discussed more than in the series of the other two decades. The writers and authors of the drama of the decade 1990–1999 AD did not, however, present negative values in an unacceptable negative framework with the same clarity, nor did they infuse the dramatic characters with Western values.
- The events of the drama of the decade 1990–1999 AD, while the drama of the 2010 period adopted –2023 AD, clearly demonstrated the dramatic presentation of positive values (supporting and endorsing positive values in the dramatic context – showing characters with positive values in a balanced form – showing characters characterized by positive values as having strength and determination). dramatic presentation techniques that provide them power and the capacity to control their social surroundings while emotionally justifying negative ideals.
- The drama of the decade 1990–1999 revealed that the images of cultural diffusion mentioned therein were not infrequent, but were intensified in the scenes of the drama of the period 2010–Ramadan 2023 AD, the most notable of which were (speaking in foreign languages - listening to foreign songs, music, and films - dressing in foreign costumes), and the primary drivers of ecological transformations were The following cultural values were present in Egyptian drama from 1990 to 2023 AD: the disregard for social duty and the value system by those in control of dramatic production - maintaining the utilitarian principle - striving to disseminate the drama of Western ideals and concepts - scenario authors that draw inspiration from international theater - presenting negative values and behaviors As the actions of the strong and resourceful).
