Strategies of Warning Discourse Versus Advisory Discourse Regarding The Content of The Health Communication Message Directed to Egyptian Women:

Abstract

The Study Aimed to Monitor, Analyze and Evaluate the Content of the Communication Messages of Health Campaigns Directed to Egyptian Women in the Period from 2014 to 2023, and to Compare the Warning Letter With the Guidance Letter in Persuading Women to Participate, and to Monitor Their Vision of the Most Influential and Responsive Types of Discourse With the Goals of Health Campaigns. The study relied on Descriptive Research, Applying the Questionnaire On Sample of (300) Women and Girls, Applying the in-Dpth Interview Guide to (13) of Those Responsible for Health Communication at The Ministry of Health and the National Council for Women.
The Results indicated that the Health Initiative “Eliminating Hepatitis C and Treating Liver Diseases in Women” was the Most important Health Initiative that Achieved its Goals and Gained the Support, interest, and Follow-up of Egyptian Families to Benefit from its Services, Followed by the “Breast Cancer Detection and Women’s Health” initiative. The Analytical Results also indicated that most Health Campaign Designers used informative, instructive Discourse in Most of The Awareness Messages, While the Results of Field Monitoring on The Women and Girls in the Study Sample Showed that they Greatly Preferred the Communication Message Based on the Combination of the two Types of Warning Discourse and Instructive Discourse.
