Abstract

Type of study: second Level analytical study
This study belongs to descriptive studies based on a second level analysis curriculum to monitor and analyses research trends in the areas of violence against women in terms of causes, types and methods of response.
The results: showed several key research trends as :the factors shaping trends and perceptions of violence against women, impacts and role of social media and websites on issues of violence against women, Identifying the types of violence through social media, as well as Arab studies that identified the causes and forms of violence against women in Arab societies, in order to draw some substantial differences between Arab and foreign studies dealing with issues of violence against women. The most prominent theories were cultural implantation, social learning theories, The most used methodology is survey represented by the survey form, followed by the qualitative of content analysis, in-depth interviews with experts and specialists, focus groups discussion and finally case study, The results also emphasized that the most important strategies used to address violence against women are: strategies for participation and new education, Communication and participation strategies.
