Abstract

The goal of the study was to monitor and analyze the dimensions of the relationship between women's public seeking health information related to breast tumors - presented by the media through the President of the Republic's initiative for early detection of breast cancer - and forming their awareness of this disease. This was done by examining the rate of women's seeking health information related to breast tumors, to identify the most important factors around the significance that this campaign has performed in educating women about their health and its connection to their degree of health awareness around this disease. This study, which falls under the category of descriptive studies, employed the media survey method and a questionnaire tool to gather data from (three hundred) Egyptian women who were unmarried and above the age of twenty. More than half of the respondents confirmed their full desire to conduct early detection of breast cancer after being exposed to the initiative. This was in response to their request for health information related to the breast cancer check that was presented by the initiative of the President of the Republic.
