The role of Egyptian news websites in shaping university youth's attitudes towards the dimensions of sustainable development and its impact on their attitudes towards the future in light of Egypt's Vision 2030

Abstract

The study aimed to reveal the role of Egyptian news websites in shaping the attitudes of university youth towards the dimensions of sustainable development and its impact on their attitudes towards the future in the light of Egypt's vision 2030. This study belongs to descriptive studies. The study relied on the survey method. (332) students from university youth, and the study relied on the survey form as a basic tool for the study, and the measure of the attitudes of university youth towards Egyptian news sites’ coverage of the subject of sustainable development in the light of Egypt’s vision 2030, and the measure of future trends of university youth in the light of Egypt’s vision 2030, and the most important results of the study were As follows: - A large proportion of young people follow the economic dimension as one of the dimensions of sustainable development through the Egyptian news websites, amounting to 68.8% of the total vocabulary of the study sample. Things I did not think about, which came in the first place with a rate of 94.9%, followed by a change in lifestyle with a rate of 93.0%. Thirdly, “not being afraid of the future” came with a percentage of 60.2%, and in the fourth place came “fear of the future” with a percentage of 48.4% of the total young people in the study sample. - There are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of young people who follow Egyptian news websites. On the scale of their orientations towards the future in light of Egypt 2030, according to gender differences in favor of females.
