The risks of violating the privacy of Egyptian youth within the model of the influence of others

Abstract

This study aims to identify the risks that Egyptian youth are exposed to when their privacy is violated and try to reveal the factors that lead to an increase in the methods of privacy violation via Digital privacy. The study was applied to a sample of 400 Egyptian youth audience, and their ages ranged from 18 to less than 35 years from different economic levels, Starting from the model of the influence of others and using the survey, The study revealed the most important results: the risks that the respondents were exposed to violate their privacy when using digital applications: It came as follows: “Theft of personal data,” followed by “Using the Screenshot feature for a story of me or one of my personal photos and sharing it on another page, discussing it, or keeping it without my permission. the results also indicated that the most important measures taken by the respondents to reduce the risks of violating their privacy when they use digital applications; represented in: “Do not open messages of an unknown Source, and then” do not respond to messages that need personal or important information when entering some sites or programs.
