Abstract

The study aims to monitor the scientific studies that dealt with the new media (social networking sites, electronic press sites) and its role in supporting sustainable development “Egypt Vision 2030 with its different dimensions and patterns (social dimension, economic dimension, environmental dimension), during the period from 2015-2021. , in Arab, European, American and Asian schools, and this study falls under descriptive studies, and relied on the descriptive analytical approach using second-level data analysis, The study relied on the study on the qualitative analysis of these studies to find out the topics and research areas they dealt with, while monitoring the theoretical and methodological frameworks for them in order to provide a critical comparative view between Arab and foreign studies in order to put forward a future vision and develop a research plan for the development of new media research (social networking sites, press sites Electronic) and its role in supporting sustainable development "Egypt's Vision 2030 with its various dimensions, The study found the superiority of foreign studies over Arab studies in terms of the use of theoretical frameworks, especially in studies and research that dealt with social networking sites by 62%, compared to research and studies that dealt with electronic press websites, and this can be explained by the interest of Western schools in media theories, We find the superiority of Asian studies in studies of women's empowerment in social networking sites compared to Arab, European and American studies
