Perception of educational media students of the concept of digital media Literacy and its relationship to the selection of digital content for them

Abstract

This research aims to identify the extent to which educational media students perceive the concept of digital media education and its relationship to the selection of digital content for them. The first and fourth at the Faculty of Specific Education at Damietta University
*Among its most important results were the following:
-  It came in the first order that (68.33%) of the research sample use the Internet throughout the week.
-   In the first place, (68%) of the research sample used the Internet for more than three hours a day
-  It came in the first place that (52.33%) of the respondents browse the Internet anywhere.
-  In the first order, it was stated that (73%) of the respondents browse the Internet from a mobile phone
-  There are statistically significant differences between the members of the research sample according to the gender variable in the three domains (cognitive - emotional - behavioral) and --the difference was in favor of females in the first and fourth groups.
    There are statistically significant differences between the members of the research sample according to the variable of the study group in the three domains (cognitive - emotional - behavioral) and the difference was in favor of the fourth group.
- The economic level of educational media students does not affect their selection of digital content.
-  There are no statistically significant differences between males and females in the duration of use, the place of use and the means of using the Internet.
- There is a positive, statistically significant relationship between the perception of educational media students, the study sample, of the concept of digital media education and their digital selection.
