Abstract

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is keen to establish the concept of intellectual security among members of society and to raise a healthy, intellectual and religious generation capable of dealing with cultural openness and accepting other opinions, through social institutions (such as family, schools, mosques and social media) and social elites.
In view of the high use of social media by young university students and their effectiveness in raising ideas and topics, this study examined in depth the extent to which university youth are aware of the concept of intellectual security, the most important social institutions that contribute to their understanding of this concept in all its religious, national, cultural and social dimensions, and the extent to which they contribute to enhancing intellectual security in all its aspects on social media. The study used the social responsibility theory by interviewing 20 students at King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah Saudi Arabia.
In its findings, the study showed that nearly half of researchers are aware of the concept of intellectual security. It also emphasized the importance of family, education, and social media in enhancing the intellectual security of individuals. The results found that university youth have a broad and active role in enhancing the intellectual security of others through social media; They have sufficient awareness of the religious, national, cultural and social aspects, which will be discussed extensively in the study.
