Managing government electronic platforms in the United Arab Emirates for the Corona pandemic: an analytical study of the website of the Ministry of Health and Community Protection, and its platform on Facebook

Abstract

This study concentrates upon the mechanisms by which the Ministry of Health and Community Protection in the United Arab Emirates managed the Corona crisis, through the ministry’s website and its social platform via Facebook, and how the Ministry employed these technical capabilities in dealing with this pandemic in all stages of the crisis and the extent of its success in managing it, with an explanation of the aspects Agreement and difference between the website and the social platform via Facebook. The study belongs to the descriptive research style, and defines the study community in analyzing the form and content of the website of the Ministry of Health and Community Protection in the United Arab Emirates, as well as analyzing the form and content of the ministry’s Facebook platform in their dealings with the Covid-19 pandemic. The study relied on the theory of dialogue, and the data collection tool was the qualitative content analysis form of the website of the Ministry of Health and Community Protection in the United Arab Emirates, as well as the ministry's Facebook platform. The results clarified the points of agreement and differences between the website and the Facebook page, as it became clear that the UAE dealt professionally with the Corona pandemic through its website and its communication platform via Facebook, and this successful management was reflected in the announcement by those in charge of the Ministry of Health and Community Service that the UAE is one of the first countries In response to the pandemic since the first day, and even topped the world in many indicators for dealing with the pandemic, starting from the response stage to the stage of recovery and overcoming the health, economic and social repercussions of the virus.
