Challenges facing media education in the field of education in light of digital transformation

Abstract

Aims: The main aim of study is identify the most important challenges facing media literacy in the field of education in light of digital transformation.
The theory of study: The Study depended on diffusion of innovations model.
Methodology: In this study the researcher followed the descriptive and analytical method
Sample: The study was applied to a random sample of (120) single from educational media specialists in Damietta Governorate schools.
Tools: The study use form of questionnaire to collect the field data..
Results: The most important challenges facing media education in the field of education in light of the digital transformation came as follows:
- In the first: the social challenges came with a percentage of (90.11%), an average of (2.7), and a standard deviation of (0.55), while in the second: the behavioral and educational challenges came with a percentage of (88.5%) and an average (2.61) and a standard deviation of (0.64). And it came in the third: occupational challenges, at a rate of (87.75%), an average (2.63), and a standard deviation of (0.63). And in the fourth: the value and ethical challenges came at a rate of (86.33%), an average of (2.59), and a standard deviation of (0.66). And in fifth, with a rate of (82.66%), came cultural challenges, with an average of (2.48), and a standard deviation of (0.70
-The most important professional challenges facing media education related to the educational media specialist (the teacher) in light of the digital transformation: came as follows: First: There are fewer and weak specialized professional training courses for the specialist, which leads to failure to keep pace with the developments that occur in the field of media and Variables of the era, while in second: the existence of a large deficit in the budget of various media activities in schools, and in third : came the failure to include a media education curriculum to spread media culture and face the dangers related to digital transformation, and in the fourth : came the lack of knowledge and skills related to theories. And modern applications in digital media education.
