Abstract


ms: The main aim of study is knowing the Prep school students Uses of Electronic games and Achievement Gratifications,
The theory of study: The Study depended on the achievement gratifications theory.
Methodology: According to the media studies It belongs to the descriptive studies, and used the media survey method, with the relationships correlation.
Sample: The sample represented In 500 single of Prep school students Tools: Tools: The study use form of questionnaire to collect the field data..
Results: Validated and hypotheses were as follows: -
The first hypothesis: There is a statistically significant correlation between Prep school students’ use of electronic games and the verifications obtained from them.
The second hypothesis: There are statistically significant differences between the averages of the male scores and the mean of the female scores on the scale of the Prep school students’ use of electronic games.
The third hypothesis: There are statistically significant differences between the averages of the male scores and the female averages on the scale of the gratifications achieved from the Prep school students’ use of electronic games.
The most important gratifications achieved from the respondents ’use of electronic games via the Internet according to gender were as follows: It came in the first order to occupy free time and get rid of boredom: where it came by (92%) of the total vocabulary of those who use electronic games. The second is the formation of friendships and social relations: It came in at a rate of (91%) of the total vocabulary of those who use electronic games, and came in the third arrangement to get to know the new in games and keep up with colleagues and peers: where it came with a rate of (90.6%) of the total vocabulary of those who use games
