Abstract


This research provides a new framework for studying communication activities of international public relations in diplomatic organizations; through determine these activities, studying their dimensions and building. The research also determining the elements of the national identity that these platforms reflect on the one hand, and those that really have on the other hand. This is in an attempt to measure the effectiveness of the communication activities of international public relations through the official platforms of diplomatic organizations in marketing the national identity of countries, peoples.
The research was based on the theoretical models and applied research attempts that explained the concept of national identity, its dimensions and elements, and also based on the model presented by "Rizwan" in 2019 that explaining the strategies of marketing the national identity; in this study sample of the content of the platforms of the Egyptian and American foreign ministries on Facebook was analyzed, and a sample opinion poll from users of this site in the Arab Republic of Egypt and the United States of America.
The results revealed the diversity of the communicational activities of international public relations in the study platforms. and its presentation of seven dimensions of the national identity, include the economic, historical, cultural, civilizational, geographic, and military aspects of the country to which the online platform belongs, and each dimension of the seven main dimensions referred to includes a set of sub-elements that reflect and embody this dimension, The results also revealed the existence of correlation between exposure to the communicational activities of international public relations, and the level of awareness of the elements of the national identity.
