Abstract

This study examines in a descriptive analysis design the relationships between youth exposure to satellite movies and tendencies to adopting social openness. It employs survey as a methodological tool to collect data randomly from 350 persons located in three universities: Nahda, Menia, and Al-Azhar. The study applies a sociological indicator to measure degrees of social openness. The results illustrate that the social openness as a value has been demonstrated as positive concept and behaviour in the movies and no significant variations found in the statistical observations of the students of the three Universities. However, there is evidence that students’ tendencies to social openness is significantly correlated with exposure to watching movies.
