This study investigates the image of policemen among Egyptian young people and explores the drama role in portraying this image. The study applies a descriptive design and employs an electronic survey as a tool to collect data from 200 segments of the selected sample. The research concluded that 70% of the respondents are interested in watching soap operas via YouTube as the first favourable social network platform and interactive drama channel. 80% spending more than one hour daily in watching TV series and 35% confirmed that drama has major role in composing the image of policemen. The respondents indicated that this image is realistic. The results demonstrate that policemen abuse their authorities in favour of private interests and involve in corruption crimes. One the other hand, they agreed that policemen are highly aware of their security responsibilities and are knowledgeable enough to carry out their missions. The overall policemen image presented through drama is neutral.
