This study detects the potential horizons of YouTubers as professional communicators through in-depth interviews with academics and practitioners’ experts. The results concluded that the main reasons of producing visual content on YouTube are the relatively perceived freedom of speech, instantaneity of becoming famous character with large number of fans or followers. In addition, YouTubing considers as an important source of income. Originality and bravery of approaching sensitive social and political topics are of the motives that create follower’s loyalty to certain YouTubers. The experts recommended that traditional media could invest YouTubers success and improve the quality of their visual production either in the objective or the appearance dimensions. They can also be employed in social campaigns that targeting audience attitudes or behaviour towards social and/or political issues.
